Arthur
I'm Arthur, and I'm what they call a third culture kid, raised by American parents in Japan. That means that while I may not feel 100% at home in either culture, I can somewhat successfully navigate many cultures. This has served me well in other countries, as well as in my wife's home town of Huntsville, Alabama!
After deciding to follow Jesus as a boy, God began working in my heart through some of Jesus' last words on earth: "Go and make disciples of all nations...." I knew that in some way I wanted to be involved in helping others decide to follow Jesus.
I went to Wheaton College to run track, and while I was there I studied anthropology and coaching. Most of what I know about ministry I learned on the job, working with international students in Tokyo and college students in the Chicago suburbs.
I've hitchhiked in Japan, slept in a subway station in New York, and been mugged in Kenya. And while my most exciting stories come from working with street gangs in the slums of Nairobi, some of my most defining moments have come as a husband and father. God has placed Meg in my life as a demonstration of his grace, and I seek to share the hope of his grace and forgiveness with others.
I enjoy soccer, spending time with friends over good coffee, watching movies, and laughing with Meg and our kids.

Meg
My name is Meg, and I grew up in Alabama. I was raised in a godly family and accepted Christ as my Savior when I was a child. I was first exposed to missions through my church, especially when my family would host visiting missionaries in our home.
When I was in college, I took a summer trip to Asia and was heartbroken to meet student after student who didn't know who Jesus is. God used that experience and the passage in Romans 10 that says "How can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard?" to break my heart for the unreached.
I pursued a degree in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) in the hopes of moving back to Asia some day. I've taught in a variety of contexts in the States, as well as teaching short-term in China and Japan.
Little did I know that I would meet my husband Arthur when I went north for grad school. As we sought God together about where he might have us serve as a couple, he broke my heart for the Japanese people.
I love art, reading, and languages, and I am currently pursuing these interests by drawing mazes for Sam, exploring Japanese children's books, and navigating life and relationships in our Japanese neighborhood.

Sam
Hi! I'm Sam. I am four AND A HALF years old and my favorite question is still "Why?" I have a lot of favorite things, like building train sets, doing mazes, playing with lego, and making my baby brother laugh.
I have lived in Japan as long as I can remember. I really like living here. I would be happy to tell you all about bullet trains and the trains in Tokyo if you ask me.
I am learning my ABC's at home and practicing my Japanese at church and with my friends.
Please pray for me as I grow up!

Theo
Hi! I'm Theo. My favorite things are growing, learning new things, and laughing at my big brother.
I was born here in Japan just like my Daddy. I have traveled a lot here with my family, but I have never been to America.
Please pray for me as I grow up!
